It's time for creativity to kill the efficiency monster.
The ad agency world has been stuck in efficiency thinking for far too long. Cutting costs, shaving margins, agreeing to ridiculous terms and then bending over backwards to deliver on them (aka overworking everyone and undercharging for it).
This is a losing game. We all know it. And the saddest part is that the solution is sitting right in front of our stupid faces.
Creativity.
Creativity is the light on the other side of efficiency’s darkness. It is generative. Hopeful. Magical, even. Bringing something to the space where nothing existed just moments before.
This creativity has been used to make billions (trillions?) for clients over the years. But for some reason, it’s rarely used in the service of our own agencies. To build new things. To rethink revenue streams. To look at the world of commoditized content and say, “fuck, we can do so much better than this.”
🐱 We can add so much more value.
🐱 We can solve much bigger problems.
🐱 We can drive business results that matter exponentially more than the vanity metrics that litter our current playbook.
All we have to do is be creative. To think different. To realize that impossible is nothing. To simply and confidently just do it.
