Snark your way to success
Folks occasionally scratch their heads at the things I post. Is he being serious? Has he chugged all the drano in his house? Why does he ™ everything?
The answers to those questions are as follows:
Maybe, not all, and I can’t figure out the shortcut keys for the copyright thingy.
But all kidding aside, I post what I post because I think the business world is just plain nuts.
I worry that we’re being fully consumed with our work, using it as a surrogate personality instead of finding real balance in our lives.
I fear we’re letting technology run rampant over our humanity. I’m no luddite; I love what technology can bring to the world. But do we need to let it suck our souls completely dry?
I cringe as our industry mindlessly chases trends, accepts self-serving proclamations as absolute truths and degrades the value of what we do on a daily basis.
I hate how creativity— the greatest tool human beings have at our disposal—has become undervalued.
Too many people on sites like LinkedIn take themselves waaaayyy too seriously. That’s not the way to solve our problems. With humor, I think we can spark more real conversations and actually get shit done.
So, I’m gonna keep shoveling shit-tons of snarkalicious™ stupidity into your feeds every day.
Sorry ‘bout that.
