"Quiet Firing."
Oh boy.
So this is a thing, apparently.
Companies deliberately making work suck more so people will have no choice but to quit. (And avoid paying severance.)
Read that again.
“That’s crazy, you must be making that up,” TJ!
If only.
This comes from the Phoenix Business Journal. 53% of companies admit to this practice, according to a study from ResumeTemplates.
Crikey.
Of those companies, 39% say it’s reduced morale significantly. Another 46% say it’s affected it a little bit. And the remaining 15% are busy cleaning sand out of their ears.
C’mon people. Just be human beings. Be adults.
Yeah, quiet quitting was a thing and that was BS too. But this is even worse because you’re f*cking everyone over. Including yourself.
😼 You think people won’t remember this?
😼 You think your top performers are feeling motivated to bring their best when you’re acting like 5 year olds?
😼 You think you’ll be able to magically clean up your reputation when the market shifts?
Don’t answer any of that.
I’m pretty sure you’re not thinking.
If you believe this whole quiet firing thing is a load of crap and you prefer to run your company like a fully formed adult human person, let’s talk.
